Geylang Bahru MRT Station (DT24) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Downtown Line Stage 3 in Singapore. It is located near the neighbourhood of Geylang Bahru, hence the station's name. It serves the residents living near the Kallang River, and those who work at the Geylang Bahru Industrial Estate. With this station, residents need not rely on buses and Kallang MRT Station. It is more convenient for commuters to travel from the old estate of Kallang Bahru to the downtown area or Tampines and Singapore Changi Airport.
There is also a swimming complex near the station, called the Kallang Basin Swimming Complex. The station is within the vicinity of Kallang MRT Station, Boon Keng MRT Station and the new Stadium MRT Station. It is only a 10 minutes walk from Geylang Bahru MRT station to Kallang MRT Station and Lorong 1 Geylang Bus Terminal.
